Check out this song it's so uptempo! Always loved the original. The only complaint I have is that maybe the creator should have used a newer, not so old, bit version.

I'm almost done with my first for the show, with will also be my first Song Video. But the song I'm using goes on a drum beat for almost 20 seconds. I wanna sync all the video to the beat, which might take awhile.

EDIT: Just tried a quick count and it's like 64-74 beats on that drum.

I'm gonna say I finish this either next week or in two weeks.

EDIT: It's more like two or three weeks.

My First Ever Tournement Ever Report

My First Ever Tournament! (Local)

Well I just went to my first tournament ever, it was alot of fun! Left around 11 and got there. When I walked into the store I was amazed at all the stuff that was in it, they sold alot of stuff besides Yugioh. They had hot wheels, magic, pokemon, action figures, basketball and basekball cards there.

So after walking around to check it out I went to the back where all the card players are. No many people their yet, 2 pairs were having a duel, I watched a little and bought some card protectors. After like 30 minutes the guy named Alex comes in, who told me about the place, and that I beat when I met him, and hes 2nd place there, we give a nod to each other and prepared to play.

It's getting close to 12 so my cousin Gerome and I head to the car to eat lunch, just some waffle sandwiches. I'm so damn nervous I can't even eat my all my sandwich.

I get in those pairs playing and duel this one guy who uses dark monsters. First duel I lose due to some of my monster stoppers, Gravity Bind, Messenger of Peace, getting destroyed. 2nd duel hes at like 1800 and I'm at 1300. I wanna beat him now and not risk anything, I have a counter on my Wave Motion Cannon, Lava Golem on his field, Cannon Solider facedown, and Scapegoat face down. I know he has a Solem Judgement, so I go with me sending my Wave Motion Cannon to the graveyard. Hes at 800, and then I tried to use Cannon Solider's effect to tribute my goats, but he Magic Drains my Scapegoat and Enemy Contols my Cannon Solider by tributing my Lava Golem. I need to draw a burn card for the win, I get Wave Motion Cannon. I scoop. Good game.

After a little bit of time they call out the first round matchups. It's a Swiss Round Format (whatever the hell that is), and everyone got to play 4 matches. I get a guy named James as my first match up. Alex said hes easy and my cousin Gerome gets to play Alex.

First Round: Jason (Me, Burn Deck) vs. James (Elemental Hero Deck?)

1st Duel: I get out my Gravity Bind, Stealth Bird, and Lava Golem. He tries to chain Sakuretsu Armor to stop the effect. I set him straight and beat him.

2nd Duel: More burnage, Just Desserts and Tremendous Fires are cool.

Win Round 1, 2-0

But my cousin falls to the 2nd place Alex with his slightly modded Spellcaster Structure deck.(my cousin's using it not Alex)

Alex comes over and says that he wants me, no homo of course. While I wait for the people to finish dueling so the next round can be determined, I meet this guy named, Joshua, but he asks for a practice duel.

1st Duel: Hes got some kinda dark deck, don't really remember the details, but I give him Lava Golem and I have no protection except for a face down trap. He attacks and I chain with my trap, Magic Cylinder, he tries to chain with Spellbinding Circle to stop the Golem but a guy, actually 2 guys, come over and say he can't do that, and I win. Barely.

2nd Duel: He switches decks. All I can really remember is that he had Red, Green, and Yellow Gadgets. Must have been a machine deck, Didn't really remember much this duel except he brought out Ancient Gear Golem and I didn't have aything to stop it. I scoop.

Okay so Round 2 is announced and I find out I'm playing him, again. I hope my deck comes through for me.

Second Round: Jason (Me, Burn Deck) vs. Joshua (Dark Deck)

Duel 1: Well Josh told me he traded some cards off the machines deck and it isn't any good anymore, back to the Dark Deck.

So I'm short on protection again........................and those Gadgets are kind annonying.

Duel 2: I win thanks to Cannon Solider, I got like 1500 LP left, and some solid protection from Gravity Bind before getting Heavy Stormed.

Duel 3: It is NOT COOL getting beaten down with your own Lava Golem.

I lose 2-1.

Kinda down after the loss, and I'm hoping that I can face a bad duelist to get my spirits, and record up. I almost get a very good trade but it falls through. More on my trades at the end of this. I get Alex for the 3rd round, figures. I'm not really sweating until he tells me he has a new deck, uh oh.

Third Round: Jason (Me, Burn Deck) vs. Alex (Dragon Deck)

Duel 1: Well I it goes down, I get to 3000, and he pre matures his Blue Eyes, he tries to direct attack but I Gravity Bind him. I give him Lavel Golem for his 2 monsters and he dies a slow death, but its sped up with my Stealth Bird.

Duel 2: He starts off by trying to stop all my monsters, Torrential Tribute Solar Flare Dragon and and Rageki Breaking my Stealth Bird. I get him down with 2 Steal Birds and use Cannon Solider to finish him off.

Wa, I just beat the dude in 2nd place. ph34r.gif Win 2-0

I pull some trades with Alex, more on this at the bottom, and duel his Crystal deck.

1st Duel: I gotta read the effects and stuff, which slows down the duel. He overwhelms me and getting like 5 of them on the field and I lose. wacko.gif

2nd Duel: Thanks to Des Koala, Stealth Bird, Gravity Bind, and Messenger of Peace, I beat him.

3rd Duel: Swarmed, again, I think someone warned me about Crystal Monsters from this forum.

4th round is announced, and I get to play a guy named Greg, who runs a Archfiend deck. Sweet.

Fourth Round (FINAL ROUND): Jason (Me, Burn Deck) vs. Greg (Archfiend Deck)

1st Duel: Hes all freaking out cause he has really nothing to counter all my stuff and he has to pay for Archfiend monsters. Lava Golem crushes his monsters and Stealth Bird helps.

2nd Duel: Thought I had this guy, but hes persistent. He manages to use Morphing Jar and get my Messenger of Peace, Gravity Bind, Stealth Bird, and Lava Golem. We topdeck for a little bit but I mange to finish it with Just Desserts and Ceasefire (over 5000 damaged combined).

Win Match 2-0

Well that was it, total record, 3-1. We wait like forever for that guy I dueled way back as my first practice duel to finish. Then the guy enters the match and the results are.............................

Anyway so my dad takes my cousin and I home, and I eat and type this up.

Observations and Thoughts:

-Solemn Judgements were used alot! A think at least 2 guys had 3 on their deck.
-Monarchs as well, but I didn't encounter one in my adventures.
-No banned cards were used.
-In the last duel of the day, while everyone is watching, a guy uses a card called "Counter Counter" to counter Solemn Judgement. risas.gif (quick buy them while their not hot and sell them high!)
-My Des Koala got Noblemaned, Twice.

When my cousin and I signed up we had to sign a sheet and we both got this, what is this?

The three guys in the corner are looking at the computer match ups.

Guy with the red hair was my 4th round opponent.

Trades and Purchases:

I think I got some good ones.

After the 2nd round I started asking around for Messenger of Peace, I have 2 I need 1 more. A guy says he has one in his car. He looks though all my old cards and he wants Reasoning, Monster Gate, and Dark Jeroid for it. This dude is wacko.gif mellow.gif but I say okay. Hes goes to his car to get it and brings out a good amount of cards. After looking he says he must have left it at home. Dang it. dry.gif

Then I trade with Alex, I give me Thunder Dragon and this Cat thing that returns 1 monster to your hand and 2 of your opponents to his hand for a card called Chain Burst. Figured why not.

And then I traded him Gravekeeper's Chief for a Cannon Solider MK II and 3 Fire Troopers.

I bought a Nobleman of Crossout and Goblin Attack Attack Force for a friend for a dollar each and got 2 Level Limit Area Bs for a dollar!

A very fun experience, but draining. I'm kinda tired.

Pros:

-5th Place!
-Good trades and purchases.
-Had fun!
-My cousin won 2 matches, one cause the guy had to go, and the other he wasn't there.
-Exposure to current game

Cons:
-A little tiring.
-I lost against a winnable dude.
-No love for 5th?
-Cousin lost twice.

I'm making a Yu-Gi-Oh comeback?

Well I just wanted to let you know that the problems in my last blog post are fixed.

And my same cousin in my last post keeps wanting to play me in Yu-Gi-Oh. Although I stopped around 3 or 4 years ago I played. It was fun, and I wanted to play people again. I went to a comic store named Geeks in the uptown Whittier and called up some people to play on the bulletin board. Next day this happened, (typed this for a friend)

"I went to duel and I didn't get raped! Alright!

Ok, so I called 2 guys to come over, Tim and Alex. I get there and Tim forgot his deck, Alex has his cards, damn they both got alot of rares and alot of cards.

Alex is a collector, and whatever Tim gets on his Del Taco paycheck goes to yugioh. I wasn't even gonna ask how Alex got his money.

So we dueled, Alex has 53 cards in his deck, and I found out Tim has 42. Tim said its a good number, while Alex said he needed all those cards to run his Elemental Heroes deck. Damn man the game has changed. But I can still run with them.

Alex's deck, in his words, was a make your opponent run out of cards deck. Which kinda backfired cause I got all my good cards. I don't really wanna go into details cause its a pain in the butt to type it all up. Give me a call or ask and I'll tell you.

Alex said my burn deck was pretty good, and said that Level Limit Area B is now not restricted. So the plan is now to meet up on sunday at a place called Jimmy's and they having a tournament there.
Entry fee 5 bucks, should I go? "

The game has changed, but I guess I can still keep up. I'll go to the tournament on Sunday. It can't hurt.

And I'm hoping to finish my Terminator - The Sarah Chronicles song video sometime next week.

I need to store this somewhere.

Just warning a friend who is gonna stay a week.

eah just little warning about Jerome. He is, well, a not so good guy. We were playing 1 on 1 basketball right now. Just messing around. Its a small ball, and I shoot the ball, he looks down for some reason, but I try to bounce it on his shoulder to get it and lay it in.

The ball slips, and I hit him in the side of the face. I tell him it was an accident. But hes all pissed and throws the ball at me all close, getting me in the right eye. This pushes me over the edge and I just go to my room cause its obvious he don't want to play with me.

This ain't the only bad thing he does. He keeps riding me cause hes bored, always trying to get me and him to do things. Its either yugioh, gta, or basketball.

I'm have very little respect for him now, I gotta go pray or something. I can still tolerate him though.

One time I was playing gta and he walked into my room. After a little bit of time, he wants to play but I say hold on. after some more time he throws chap stick against the wall, and I just stop and stare at him, trying to give "the look". And then he asks to play again.

He starts tugging me away from my laptop, saying hes my mom.

This guy don't got no respect for me, which is why I'm gonna need my book back to brush up on my "skills".

I remember seeing this graphic novel February 4, 7:34 pm at a Barnes and Nobles. It looked good, so I made a reminder on my phone at that time to check it out more. It popped up, and I acquired the first 20 issues/volumes or whatever.

It's a tale of survivors trying to survive a zombie outbreak. It's good because it has a good theme around which has been the theme in most zombie movies, humans ability, or inability to work together to face something greater and survive.

I can't write more, I have to read more (I'm on volume/issue 7) to judge better. But I can tell this is good, so go acquire it asap!

Strange Feeling

You know how I spent my last year of 2007/early 2008?

My family had a small party at my house. I eat some food and grab some more and headed to my room. With my laptop still in the dumps I started continued to play Conker on Xbox. A Tribe Called Quest's "The Lost Tribes" was dumping at a decent sound and the TV was muted. Eventually I got tired and took a shower close to the countdown. I took about a 20 minute shower and thought about stuff. When I came out after drying myself my mom hugged me and said Happy New Year. Whoop De Do...........I went to sleep at like 1:30.

And so another year began. When I check my sites on my aunt's computer the next day Gemini's We On Video was out. Actually not a bad way to start the new year.

Oh yeah my Terminator - The Sarah Connor Song Video isn't doing to bad. I've done about 30 seconds of 3 minutes. Been working on and off it. But this is defiantly progress!

I try and start something new.

Haha I've been having a "busy" vacation. I've been playing Resident Evil 4. Gonna try to beat the game before Christmas break is over. I've also been playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Multiplayer. Joined LS_KINGS clan. I'm not too bad if I do say so myself.

I've also been downloading a good number of mixtapes. Heres the covers of the ones I downloaded.

Have you hear M.I.A - Paper Planes? It's a weird song. It's catchy. The flow would even attract a little kid. But it talks about shooting people and taking their money.

Whats up with all these American Gangster mixtapes? I'm not complaining though, some of them are really good.

I Am Legend + Lupe Fiasco

Just saw I Am Legend. It was a good movie. I'd give it a 9/10. Enough action to satisfy me. The plot was good. In the movie we are not given the whole picture of what happened to his family. It is given to us little by little. I have a problem grasping the plot of the movie. If I can understand it a little better, then I think would enjoy the movie much more.

On the other note my favorite artist Lupe Fiasco was front page on The LA Time's Image section. Heres some pictures.

This is a pending video project but I might make a music video out of I Am Legend and other Zombie movies...................................

Updates from last post. NBA Live 08 sucks and the sliders suck. Still waiting for an update. I might join my school newspaper. Man I got alot of stuff to do, I'm typing as fast as I can. I got a bunch of video project I wanna do and stuff I wanna download, but I'm just too busy.

Preorder 3 orders of Lupe Fiasco's The Cool. Got 3 XL shirts because their was only XXL sizes left. Just went on myspace and saw that theres only 13 shirts left. Anyway thats it for now.

Man I just aquired 3 albums from the 90s Rap slash Hip-Hop artists A Tribe Called Quest. The albums are called, Midnight Marauders, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, and The Low End Theory.

Oh man, they are great! What can I say about them? The 90's seems to blair out of their music to me, I don't wanna stop listening! I can hear, and feel, remember the 90s. Music is powerful.

Give them a listen if you haven't already, their rythem is amazing. You won't be disapointed.

Time for a review! Well, with me being a strickly basketball fan, this magazine is fits my needs. I first bought this magazine before the NBA 04-05 season started. I was just getting into basketball and the nba at the time. This was like my NBA Bible for awhile. I carried it almost everywhere I went, and reviewed it constanly. Why?

I was not into fantasy sports at the time, it was just how good the magazine was. It has previews for every team in the nba and has every players stats on that team from last season. As a Laker fan, I would constantly look at the magazine during games and compare it to the real thing. It also makes predictions at players stats per 48 minutes of play and answers some questions about the teams at publishing time.

Include the fact that the magazine is packed with numerous strange facts,information about previous draft classes, lots of colorful pictures, and a section dedicated to cheerleaders makes this a grade A magazine!

The reason for the empty part in the video is that I didn't know what clips to put there at the time so I just skipped on to later in the song and started there again.

The Scars of Time can be many diffrent things. But to me it is the case of rest. Every summer night I stay up late due to excess energy. And in the morning I wake up late. With nothing to due I rot away on the computer or tv. And the cycle repeats itself. With summer coming to a close a week from today, I constantly ponder to myself if I can break this chain and get to bed early. Maybe it's my lack of rest that contributes to me not finishing mixes or amv projects that I have set up.

Afro Samurai is a great anime, but most of the time what makes movies and anime great is the music. Music is powerful, it sets tones and expresses emotions.

The album starts off with the theme song for the anime. RZA raps about Afro, and how he is a man with no friends, who only lives for revenge and lives on the edge. He also talks about the headband Afro is trying to find. Although that is the theme song for each of the five episodes, it is important. It helps us focus on the ultimate objective, and reminds us what this is all about.

The next track is "Afro Intro", which is Afro's father and the current number 2 talking a little bit. You can hear a dark tone in this song. And it matched the situation. Afro's father was about to die.

The next track, Certified Samurai Features Talib Kweli, Lil Free & Suga Bang. There rhymes are great and they stay of point with Afro.

Just A Lil Dude "who Dat Ovah There" (Feat. Q-Tip & Free Murder) talks about Afro as a kid. How theres killing going around but it's natural for little Afro.

Who Is Tha Man (Feat. The Reverend William Burk) talks about Afro, and how mysterious he is. How nobody knows anything about him.

Fury In My Eyes/revenge (Feat. Thea) is about calmer then most of the tracks. It plays in the last episode of the anime. Because it is calm, they talk about Afro and his lifestyle.

The outro is a bit up tempo. I usually take that time too look back at each episode. It starts up beat and it sounds happy, but then it gets a little sad and calmer. A great way to end the series.

The soundtrack had big names such as Big Daddy Kane, Talib Kweli, Q Tip, and GZA. I came out of this getting more then I expected. The music told a story that I could see even I hadn't seen the anime. RZA and company did a great job on this soundtrack. 10/10 from me!

This TV anime is set in a futuristic, yet feudal Japan. Meaning technology are advanced enough, yet ideas and lifestyles are not. This anime stars around a Samurai named Afro, people have dubbed him the "Afro" Samurai. In this world, power and greed dominate and corrupt. Power is not achieved by bribery or money, but through a headband.

You see there are headbands, although it is unclear how many there are. The one who wears the Number One headband it said to have powers of a God. But the only rule is that the one with the Number Two headband can challenge Number One to get that headband. Whoever kills the owner of the headband gets it. But anybody, usually everybody, can challenge Number 2.

When Afro was just a boy, his father was Number, and was killed at the hands of Number 2. The man who killed his father challenged Afro to one day kill him. After that day Afro is set for revenge.

Well not at first. At first when we see him he is brutal. Slaughtering people who attack Him without remorse and keeping a straight angry look on his face. You may think he is cold at first, but his Number 2 status forces him to keep small relationships with people. He is haunted by his memories and past relationships, and it seems that only killing Number 1 can fix everything.

Through out the 5 episode series we see Afro's past, and realize what he had to go through. He had to make some tough decisions, and lost people close to him because of it.

Anyway if you are looking for action and/or blood and guts, you got it. Afro fights off many different weapons such as arrows and bullets using only his sword. However this anime is very bloody and not recommended for the faint of heart.

GONZO's costs are estimated at One Million Dollars per episode. But the money they put it was worth it. Famous voices include American actor Samuel L. Jackson and Phil LaMarr who voiced Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Music I will review in another thread at another time, I believe it deserves it own review thread.

Top notch story with great action scenes make this, in my opinion, a 5 star anime series.

Grand Theft Auto - Vice City is a video game modeled after Miami Florida.

The player takes the role of Tommy Vercetti, who has recently been released from prison in Liberty City. While attempting to re-establish himself within the Forelli Mafia family, boss Sonny Forelli sends Tommy to Vice City to supervise an important drug deal. At the exchange, masked gunmen kill three of the people involved in the trade (two Forelli henchmen and Victor Vance, Lance Vance's brother, a man who you late team up with), stealing both the drugs and the money Tommy was charged with protecting. Vercetti narrowly escapes and informs Sonny, who demands that Tommy get back both the "product" and the money. Both Sonny and Tommy wish to kill those responsible for the theft.

To find out more information about this, Tommy has to get deeper into Vice City. I was greatly educated about the 80's through Rockstar's great choice of music, humor, and culture. Gangs ruled these times, and Tommy has to interact was some to find out who messed up their deal.

The music is 5 star. Popular hits from that dominate the waves and humorous talk show hosts guarantee a good laugh with their many guests.Parodies are spotted many times.

Gameplay is quite simple to pick up and enjoy, and the wide variety of cars, weapons, and people can only add to the replay value. Even when you finished the game, their is so much more to do, and your imagination helps you with that.

In conclusion this game gets you from start to finish, and I found myself playing this game long after I had finished. So go and grab it off the 20 dollar bin of your local carwash and start enjoying.

Well it's a saturday night. I plan on working on, maybe finishing my first amv. I need to enter it on the 23rd for a small friendly contest between my friends. i'll also try to make my first sig. But first I need the resources, and I also need to learn how.
